Position Summary

As a Product Designer, you are a crucial member of our product development team, responsible for driving the design process from concept to execution, ensuring that our products meet the needs of our B2B clients in the payment and financial industry and delight their customers.

Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Teams Work Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and sales to define and execute product design strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Work closely with the product & design team to identify user needs, prioritize problems, and propose innovative design solutions.
  • Take initiative to communicate with front-end and back-end engineers to ensure design feasibility and gather necessary technical information.
  • Work closely with the sales team to gather client feedback and incorporate it into the design process.  

User-Centered Design Advocacy

  • Champion user-centered design principles and justify design decisions with evidence from user research, usability testing sessions, and data analysis.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design concepts and gather user feedback. Iterate on designs based on test results and stakeholder inputs.
  • Plan and conduct user research to understand the needs and pain points of B2B customers. Define and refine design solutions based on research insights.

Solid Design Thinking Process

  • Articulate design thinking processes and rationales to the team and stakeholders, seeking iterative feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate systematic and technical thinking in the design process, considering both user experience and technical constraints.
  • Utilize domain knowledge in the payment and financial industry to create intuitive and effective user experiences.

Effective Design Communication

  • Communicate design decisions to stakeholders effectively, ensuring buy-in and alignments across stakeholders and the team.
  • Utilize wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, service blueprints, and site maps to convey design concepts comprehensively.
  • Create design documentation, including design specifications, style guides, and design system components to maintain consistency and coherence across digital platforms.  

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product design roles, preferably in a SaaS or tech start-up environment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Figjam, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design work and demonstrating your ability to solve complex design challenges by applying user-centered design principles.
  • Deep understanding of B2B customer needs and experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Proven ability to advocate for design decisions and persuade stakeholders through compelling arguments and presentations.
  • Quickly pick up new knowledge and adapt to emerging trends or technologies efficiently is a plus.
  • Preferably, demonstrate familiarity with the payment and financial industry, showcasing a track record of designing successful products in this domain.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and a willingness to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and familiarity with agile methodologies.
